What certainty, inspired action, and divine timing taught me about bringing a TEDx dream to life — long before I knew how it would happen.

Since delivering my TEDx Talk, The Dance of Collaboration, a question I get nearly every day is: “How did you do that?” TEDx is widely considered a Holy Grail moment in public speaking—and it was absolutely that for me. But more than anything, it was a dance between belief, inspired action, and cooperative components.
I believed I would give this talk long before I knew how. I started writing my first draft in late 2017 without even knowing a TEDx opportunity was coming. When I finally said yes to applying, I had to overcome a ton of internal resistance and fear. Then came the interviews, acceptance, and weekly 8-10 hour practices with one of the most collaborative, supportive teams I’ve ever encountered.
The process was rigorous. The outcome was beautiful. And the joy? Unmistakable.
